Savills came to Auction Marketer as a new client wanting an auction platform that matched their main website, same colours, same typography, same feel. But auction platforms have their own challenges with dense information, fast decisions, buyers who need price, location, tenure and condition all at a glance. That doesn't always sit naturally alongside a premium property brand requirement but as specialists, Auction Marketer was used to these requirements and had built a platform around it.

The thinking
The new website was required to following the branding and style set out on the main estate agent website, this included the branding colours, logo, fonts, etc. On the catalogue and lot pages, images are the most important item as this is what is being purchased and so these pages were very image heavy. The lot page also required several pieces of vital information to be present but without cluttering the page, hence the use of accordions which would prove to be user friendly for both mobile and desktop users.
The design
I designed the full platform in Adobe XD, including the homepage, auction calendar, catalogue, lot pages, and the account dashboard. We wanted the site to be more image led throughout, putting the very nice photographs of properties front and center to be the main vantage sell point. Throughout holding the Savills brand system at the forefront of changes. Interactive prototypes linked everything together so stakeholders could navigate the experience rather than just review static screens.
